OK, I cracked. I bought a subscription. I'm pretty much banking on the hope that spending the $8 for 3 months of no ads will encourage me to actually create again. And I do so miss creating.
These days, my creations take the form of lesson plans, blog entries, social media outpourings, grade sheets, and occasionally some branding projects for friends. But never any manipulations... unless you count adding some highlights every now and then to a portrait.
I've surrounded myself with the manipulations that fill my gallery; my apartment is covered in artwork that I've had printed and hung around because homes just always feel better when you have your heart's work hanging around you. But it's also served as a constant reminder that I made 90% of it two-three years ago and have very few new pieces to show for the subsequent years.
So I'd really like to change that. I wish Neosynthesis was still around so that I could throw my glove in some duels. And I wish that I still belonged to an art group, because goodness knows I was prolific then. But for now, I guess I'll just have to strengthen that little part of my spirit that has been doing little but nagging me to be productive...
... and on the off chance that any of the community is still around and hasn't completely forgotten my already obscure name-- Neosynthesis friends and such-- I'm always interested in participating in duels, even if they aren't hosted by the forum that seems to have disappeared.
Please stop by with a comment updating me on your life if you are still listening. I've missed you.
I may have disappeared for a while, but I try to still keep an eye on this group. They do some beautiful work and seem to be beautiful people. If you haven't already, check out their newest art pack: Past, Present, and Future. As always, in sinful existence I reside.
